Welcome back everyone to The Concert Corner for this week's post! Today we're talking about my favorite, don’t tell Harry or Louis, One Direction member Niall Horan and what he’s been up to. For those of you who don’t know Niall, he’s native to Mullingar, Westmeath, Ireland, and his blood type is A positive (thank you for that One Direction Twitter circa 2010). He rose to fame just like the other boys with his audition on the X-Factor and ultimately was put into the amazing cool fun hot awesome and smart man band One Direction.
Solo career-wise Niall’s debut album, Flicker, was released on October 20th, 2017, and the successor album (my favorite sorry Flicker) Heartbreak Weather March 13th, 2020. So fans have been waiting basically forever for another album and praise Jesus it’s almost here. The Show is releasing June 9th, 2023 and his first single off of it called Heaven was released February 17th, 2023 so we’re going to talk all about it today.
Niall's currently released albums
To start off I am OBSESSED with Niall’s music, Heartbreak Weather has no skips, and hearing Heaven makes me sure The Show is about to be another no-skip album, so slay Niall. Heaven starts off with a pretty harmony that fans are saying sounds like Grapejuice by Mr. Harry Styles and they’re actually so right. Niall’s voice hasn’t changed that much over the years so hearing his new music is like a little bit comforting. I do wish we could hear his voice a little bit more during the verses of the song but the bridge showcases it way better, I always love when artists have more isolated vocals in certain songs so I’m really happy he hit that quota with the bridge. Now the bridge (my absolute favorite part of literally any song) reminds me of the feeling of listening to My Tears Ricochet by the queen of all bridges every in the whole wide world Taylor Allison Swift. Now if you haven’t ever listened to My Tears Ricochet stop reading right now and go listen I beg of you. Now if you have listened to it I’m in love with you #1 and #2 the only way I can explain the bridge is it feels like if you were out at midnight in the summer standing in a field on the top of a hill with your arms out breathing in the cold air with a breeze in your face (if you can’t tell I’m dramatic). Now Heaven feels exactly like that but the opposite; it’s dawn with the sun rising and you’re breathing in the brisk sweet spring air standing on the top of that same hill with yellow poppies blooming all around and moving in the breeze. Basically, you’re having a magical experience. Listening to Heaven it’s one of those songs that when you start hearing the chorus and key change it brings a little smile to your face.
Safe to say I am even more excited now for this album. The Show drops June 9th, 2023 and I highly suggest giving Heaven a listen before then. If you’ve never really sat and listened to any of his songs my top 3 are; Heartbreak Weather, Put a Little Love on Me, and Arms of a Stranger (as you can see I’m really a huge Heartbreak Weather fan). Now, this doesn’t mean those are the best but like they basically are.

Not to get all drama and sappy but ya’ll make me so happy if you follow me or even if you don’t. I don’t know how many more times I’ll say this but thank you so much again and get ready for a new post next week :)
