Hello everyone and welcome back to another post!! I hope all of you guys who have just started school again are slaying, I’ve started my senior year of university and am slaying too.
This week's post is all about the Dallas Texas Texas-originated rock band Little Image. The band is composed of Jackson Simmons on Vocals, Troy Bruner on Drums, and Brandon Walter on Bass/Keys. They all met through mutual friends and began releasing music right out of high school!

Their sound REALLY reminds me of the band Almost Monday and Quarters of Change. Who I am both familiar with! I actually saw QOC in Boston at the beginning of the year and know a TON of people who are super big fans of Almost Monday so if you like either of those artists totally give Little Image a listen. Their sound has also been compared to the band COIN who I LOVEEE so so so much. Checks out.
Now on my hour-long drive to Sonia in Cambridge, I familiarized myself with their music. I’ve decided that my favorite song is definitely ‘OUT OF MY MIND’ from their newest album SELF TITLED. Some of the fans that I spoke to also added in their favorite songs like ‘BLUE’ and ‘RUNAWAY’.
The show was amazing. The venue Sonia was so perfect for any band, it’s super intimate and if you’re a photographer it’s really good for getting some practice because it’s smaller and since there’s no photo pit because of the lack of barricade you don’t have the first three songs to get pictures you have their entire set. I was so excited that some of the experienced photographers there said that because this was the first show I shot at and I was so nervous. But, having that extra time and so much space to get great pictures eased my nerves.

The show's openers were Levi Evans and Hastings. Both openers really matched Little Images vibes which I feel always elevates a show since it’s basically a pre-game to the headliner especially with the similar genres and sounds. I had personally never heard of Levi Evans or Hastings but they really went above my expectations. The energy was fun even if the crowd didn’t know too many songs. It was honestly a very welcoming environment which was refreshing to some other shows I’ve been to (Inhaler NYC I am talking about you; I think I have PTSD from the show I am being so for real). This was especially prevalent with the fans. There were no barricade runs, no clotheslining people, no 9 a.m. lineups, and no Twitter fights (again I’m talking about Inhaler NYC, it was actually a fever dream). I got to talk to some awesome people at the barricade and got more of a fan view of Little Image. They were all so civil and nice it was insane. Like, people could leave the barricade to go to the bathroom? So, you’re saying you DIDN’T have to ration water and stop drinking it at 1 p.m. at the latest? I still can’t wrap my head around it.

Overall, I had a wonderful experience at the Little Image show. The venue was great and relaxed, there was no pressure and everyone was calm. Little Image had a great stage presence and do really like their fans, It was the second show they played at the Sonia and apparently, one of their first shows was at the Sonia before COVID-19 so it was extra special, and you could see that.
I highly recommend listening to ‘Little Image’ as they’re unapologetically themselves and really do love what they do.
Also, a big thank you to 1824 a Universal Music partner for letting me attend the show!!!
See you all next week for a new post!!!
